Beauty shop make over, continued....

Matt continues to decorate his new den.
He is now into collecting tin signs, as you can see.
I like the new curtains, the fabric is heavy and with hope will keep out the cold.
The new light fixtures look much better than the old chrome ones.

Life is a beach.

I want to wake up every morning and walk this beach.

Traffic is a bitch on Michael Drive!

Four wheelers and tractors are running into each other...
Garden stones are being put away for the winter....
Engines are being cleaned out....

...and friends with hot cars are coming to visit.

Sweet Victory!!!

Our friend, Phil, got a new ride yesterday. This "Victory" bike model is called the Vegas Jack pot.
It is one nice lookin bike.

Annie was excited.
There is nothin like a Road King.
Johnny was sportin new hub caps on his ride. I was a hood ornament.
I was a fashion statement in the do-rag I bought Matt for Christmas last year because: it cost me 75 bucks because it has Harley Davidson on it, he hasn't worn it yet , and it makes me feel tough.
Out and about on Michael Drive.
The last of my annuals.

A view from the back deck.

Around the farm...

Saturday was a beautiful fall day, so of course I put up more decorations.
The wreath was a birthday gift from Johnny and Kim, so was the scare crow a couple of years ago.

Our japanese maple, the Emily tree, gets even brighter red in the fall.

Dad, your Virgina creeper is lookin good.

Big doings of the weekend.

Butch, Matt, and I attended the Special Olympic "Fly-in" fund raiser.
The co-pilot was was coming in loud and clear.
The view was beautiful!
I asked the pilot why a little green light was flashing "alert." He said "Oh I don't know. Don't worry about it."
Matt had to ride alone with the pilot due to capacity limitations.
Then we went to "Governor's" for lunch.

I stopped by Johnny and Kim's and the birthday gifts just keep on comin!

Toy boat, toy boat, toy boat.

This blogs for you Dave, my faithful reader!
After much negotiation, wheelin and dealin, Matt has a new boat. Reasons he gave me for needing this boat included: the big boat won't fit in small ponds and streams when the brook trout are runnin, it is easier to trailer and handle, and it is a pretty shade of green. My personal favorite reason was "I've never owned a brand new boat, only used."
He first got a 14 footer with a 15 horse power Yamaha which did not seem to plane off when the twins took it for a test drive. They blamed it on the pitch of the motor or something like the angle of the dangle. I happened to read the maximum capacity label on the inside of the boat and my guess is the twins exceeded the limit. Anyway, that boat was returned for a 16 footer with a 20 horse Honda.

Matt found the big man seats on ebay. They have been fishing a couple of times in the new boat and it appears to float.

I'm glad will still have the big boat.
